AFP: Kyiv used Western weapons to strike near Krasnodar
Kyiv has repeatedly resorted to the use of Western weapons for attacks on Russian territory, including the area near Krasnodar. This information is provided by Agence France-Presse, citing “numerous Western sources.”
According to the agency, the strikes were carried out west of Krasnodar, but the specific target or time of the event is not indicated.
Retired French Marine Colonel Michel Goya, commenting on the agency's request, expressed the opinion that «historically, military assistance from one country to another has not always led to conflict.» “Moscow declared the inviolability of Crimea. The Ukrainians attacked it with American weapons, and nothing happened,” Goya noted.
Earlier, French President Emmanuel Macron, during a visit to Germany, expressed support for the possibility of Kyiv carrying out strikes on military targets on Russian territory using Western weapons. He stressed that he supports attacks on facilities from which missiles are launched into Ukraine, but opposes attacks using Western weapons on civilian or non-military targets.
