The restyled sports car, which received the T-Hybrid system, is already available for order on the home market, in Germany.
< p>The current generation Porsche 911 (with index 992) debuted in the fall of 2018, now the time has come for a planned restyling. The manufacturer began to declassify the updated family. The company officially announced that it would include gas-electric versions in March of this year. Now the Porsche 911 Carrera GTS with a hybrid powertrain has been presented.

The sports car with the factory index 992.2 received the T-Hybrid system, which is based on a new 3.6-liter six-cylinder engine. The volume is increased by 0.6 liters compared to its predecessor due to the diameter being increased by 97 mm and the piston stroke increased by 81 mm. Instead of two turbochargers, one is used, but with an electric drive. The power of the gasoline engine is 485 hp. and 570 Nm.
At the front is a 400-volt battery with a capacity of 1.9 kWh, which powers an electric motor integrated into an eight-speed PDK robotic gearbox, its output is 54 hp and maximum torque is 149 Nm. The total output of this power plant is 541 hp. (610 Nm). Compared to the pre-reform 911 Carrera GTS, power has increased by 61 hp. The company also noted that the hybrid gained only 50 kg in weight.

It is known that the updated Porshe 911 Carrera GTS coupe accelerates from zero to “hundreds” in 3.0 seconds (0.4 seconds faster compared to the pre-refresh version), and its top speed is 312 km/h. By the way, the hybrid “filling” is available not only for the coupe, but also for the convertible, as well as for the targa version; Cars can have either rear-wheel drive or all-wheel drive (the Targa has only 4×4).

The updated Porsche 911 Carrera GTS has 20-inch 245/35 ZR tires on the front axle, and 21-inch 315/30 ZR tires on the rear axle. The list of standard equipment includes: a fully controlled chassis, adaptive PASM suspension, as well as active PDCC (Porsche Dynamic Chassis Control) anti-roll bars integrated into the T-Hybrid system.

The company also presented a restyled basic rear-wheel drive Porsche 911 Carrera. It received a modernized 3.0-liter biturbo engine, which was equipped with turbochargers from the previous GTS version and an intercooler from the Turbo version. Its output increased by nine “horses” — up to 394 hp, and the maximum torque remained the same — 450 Nm. The pair is offered with an unchanged eight-speed robot. As a result, this coupe reaches the first “hundred” in 4.1 seconds (0.1 second faster than the pre-reform version), or in 3.9 seconds if the Sport Chrono package is available. Top speed increased from 293 to 294 km/h.

The updated Porsche 911 now has different bumpers, turn signals and “dimensions” » became part of the main block of refreshed headlights. Matrix optics with 32 thousand pixels are optionally available. The design of the rear lights has also been improved. Inside, the list of changes includes a fully virtual instrument panel with a diagonal of 12.6 inches; in addition, an engine start button has appeared (previously it was a handle). The touchscreen of the PCM infotainment system has the same diagonal of 10.9 inches, but it has different graphics. A cooled niche with a wireless charging function for smartphones has also appeared in the cabin.
Restyled sports cars (both with a traditional internal combustion engine and with a hybrid power plant) are already available for order in Germany.
