Spy photos of the new German crossover recently appeared on the Internet, thanks to which we have the opportunity to get a first idea of the appearance of the new product.< /p>
The GLC model was first introduced in 2015, replacing the GLK crossover. Today, the second generation of the SUV is on the assembly line, the debut of which took place at the very beginning of the summer of 2022. However, the upcoming GLC EV is a completely different car, since it is based on an electric powertrain, and in the model range it will replace the EQC model, which appeared in 2018 and ultimately failed in sales. What will the heir be like?

So far, the test samples captured by spy photographers are covered with a thick layer of camouflage, but some details can already be seen. In terms of proportions, the future crossover is closer to the aforementioned EQC with its almost classic proportions, rather than to the older EQE and EQS SUVs, which strive for one-dimensionality. The front part may receive an unusual design for the company's electric models — we have depicted one of the possible options without simulating a radiator grille. The headlights will most likely be made in the current style of Mercedes-Benz electric trains with an LED jumper between them. On the side you can note the retractable door handles, exactly the same as on older models. The lights will most likely also be made as a single element across the entire width of the stern, and the license plate niche will still be located in the rear bumper.

The new GLC EV is expected to be built on the MMA platform (Mercedes- Benz Modular Architecture), designed specifically for vehicles with electric and hybrid powertrains. The premiere of the new product should take place next year.
