The first half of 2024 has ended, and this means another opportunity for us to check how close our forecasts turned out to be to real new products.< /p>
For many years now, the online magazine Kolesa.ru has been publishing not only renderings, but also selections in the genre of expectation/reality. We invite you to familiarize yourself with the previous selection, which was published at the very end of 2023.
As always, we arrange new products in alphabetical order, and the first for today is the smallest crossover from Alfa Romeo called Milano. Its premiere took place in April of this year, and a few months before that, renderings of the car were published. In reality, the SUV received slightly larger headlights and a different finish for the radiator grille and bumpers.

In March, Audi introduced another electric crossover, which was named Q6 e-tron. Moreover, our renderings were made last spring. Here, as in the previous case (with the exception of the headlights), the main differences can be considered the trim of the grille and the design of the front and rear bumpers.

Last week the premiere of the new generation Bentley Continental GT took place, which is essentially a redesigned version of the previous generation. We took our own images of the model almost a month before and almost got it right with the design of the front optics, while the rear optics are designed differently in terms of content.

BMW has launched several new products in recent months, and the first of them was the Vision Neue Klasse X concept crossover, which will replace the iX3 model. We made renderings of the production car back in December last year, and there is a chance that it will be a little closer to our expectations. The concept is very significantly different in the design of the front and rear parts, as well as the sidewalls.

One of the most interesting new products of last month was the new generation BMW X3 crossover, which received a very unusual design for the model. We tried to predict it in April of this year, and the real car received a differently designed front end, as well as a differently designed rear bumper.

Finally, another addition to the Bavarian range is the BMW M5 sports sedan with a hybrid installation, presented a week after the X3. Our renderings date back to October last year, and only the detailing of the front bumper and radiator grille are slightly different.

There is also a domestic car in today’s selection, and it is the long-awaited new sedan from Lada, named Iskra. Patent images that appeared earlier allowed us to reproduce the appearance of the car almost exactly.

The Italian company Lancia has pleased us with its first new product in a long time, which is the new generation Ypsilon hatchback. It was officially presented in February, and a couple of months before that, renderings of the car were published. The most significant differences here are the detailing of the front and rear bumpers.

British Mini in April showed the production version of its smallest crossover called Aceman. We took our own images of the new product in February, and the production car differs only in the trim of the lower body.

Nissan in the same month quite significantly updated one of its bestsellers — the Qashqai crossover. A week before the premiere, we published renderings of the car, and in this case, the real car received slightly different bumpers and differently designed rear optics.

Another April premiere — a crossover with the revived name Frontera. At the beginning of this year, we correctly predicted the general concept and style of the car, but there are also very significant differences — primarily in the design of the front bumper and rear optics.

The French company Renault has updated the compact crossover Captur, which received a completely new front end. Previously published patent images allowed us to almost exactly reproduce the appearance of the new product.

Finally, today’s selection is completed by the new-generation Toyota 4Runner, a full-fledged SUV, which premiered in the same April, which was full of automotive news. A few days before, we took our own images of the model, and in the absence of any spy photos or side teasers, we were able to guess the overall shape of the car and even its distinctive pillars behind the rear doors, inspired by the once popular second-generation model in Russia. At the same time, there are differences in the proportions of the elements of the rear part, as well as in the design of the headlights and radiator grille.
