MOSCOW, July 4 The creators of the Chicken Curry Dungeon project «Black Sky of Vampires», one of whom is comedian Alexander Gudkov, did not apply for a distribution certificate to the Russian Ministry of Culture. Distribution of the film without the appropriate document entails administrative liability, the department's press service told journalists.
Earlier, State Duma deputy Alexander Khinshtein published a post on his Telegram channel that a screening of Gudkov's film was planned for July 7 at the Kinomax-Samara movie theater, which, according to him, «publicly condemns Russia and sends royalties from foreign concerts to support the Armed Forces of Ukraine.» Khinshtein said that he had appealed to the Ministry of Culture with a demand to revoke the film's distribution certificate, if it had been issued earlier.
«In connection with reports in a number of media outlets and Telegram channels, we inform you that the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation has not received an application for a distribution certificate for the Chicken Curry Dungeon project «Black Sky of Vampires,» the statement says.
The Ministry of Culture also reminded that showing a film without a distribution certificate, which establishes, in particular, the method of using the film, violates the law and entails administrative liability — under Article 14.58 of the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Russian Federation (Carrying out distribution of a film and (or) showing a film without a distribution certificate).
