The press service of Haveil Motor Rus LLC announced ruble prices for the Great Wall Poer KingKong large pickup truck: the novelty will be available in two trim levels — basic Comfort (from 2,799,000 rubles) and advanced Elite (from 2,999,000 rubles), sales will start on April 25.
The Russian distributor GWM (Great Wall Motor) announced the arrival of the large Poer KingKong pickup in Russia on March 22, since then the Wingle 7 pickup has disappeared from the company’s Russian website and only Poer has remained at a price of 3,499,000 rubles, but soon a larger one will join it and at the same time cheaper Poer KingKong. “How is this possible?” the inexperienced reader will ask. The fact is that in China, Poer is a full-fledged pickup sub-brand, under which Great Wall sells both inexpensive “workhorses” and technically sophisticated lifestyle pickups with expensive finishes. «Simply» Poer with more modest dimensions (length — 5403 mm, wheelbase — 3230 mm) in the image sense is positioned higher than the larger Poer KingKong, and therefore is more expensive.
The Poer KingKong, which debuted in its homeland last year, is closer to workhorses than lifestyle pickups, although it looks pretty impressive. The overall length of King Kong for the Russian market is 5641 mm, width is 1880 mm, height is 1815 mm, wheelbase is 3410 mm. Useful body length — 1820 mm, width — 1500 mm, height — 495 mm, load capacity — 975 kg. The cab is only a two-row four-door. The front suspension of the King Kong is independent spring on double wishbones, the rear is dependent spring. All wheels are equipped with disc brakes. Ground clearance — 200 mm, approach angle — 25 degrees, departure angle — 20 degrees. The stock tires are 235/65 R 17.
In Russia, Poer KingKong will be available with two engines to choose from: a 2.0-liter turbodiesel produces a maximum of 150 hp. and 400 Nm, a gasoline turbo engine of the same volume — 190 hp. and 360 Nm. The gearbox is only a 6-speed “mechanics”, although in China King Kong had a version with a 6-speed “automatic” in March (“just” Poer, by the way, is available in Russia only with an 8-speed automatic transmission). The drive at King Kong in the Russian Federation will only be full, such as part-time, with a hard-wired front axle, a reduction gear in the transfer case and a rear axle differential lock. The volume of the fuel tank for the diesel version is 78 liters, for the petrol version — 80 liters. Machines for the Russian market undergo additional anti-corrosion treatment.

The Russian distributor GWM has not yet reported how the ruble prices of King Kong differ depending on the engine, but only revealed the main composition of the configurations. The base Comfort, which costs from 2,799,000 rubles, has a stabilization system, two frontal airbags, a height-adjustable steering column, fabric upholstery, air conditioning, heated front seats and wiper rest areas, a multimedia system with a 10.25-inch touch screen (there is support for smartphone interfaces), a rear view camera, rear parking sensors, an audio system with two speakers, two USB ports, tire pressure sensors and alloy wheels.
Poer KingKong in the Elite configuration, for which you need to pay at least 2,999,000 rubles, has the following advantages: side and window airbags, climate control, steering wheel heating, «leather» interior, electric driver's seat adjustments, all-round cameras, rain and light sensors, a connector for connecting a video recorder, a 220-volt socket in the rear of the cabin, 6 audio system speakers, fog lights with a cornering light function, a safety bar in the body, painted door handles.
Both configurations have an electronic instrument panel in the spirit of cars from the 80s, with fixed windows for the speedometer, tachometer and on-board computer, that is, you cannot change the graphics.
Great Wall Poer KingKong will be available in Russia in six colors to choose from.
