The new crossover Exeed RX is ready to start sales in Russia

Chery's fresh premium sub-brand SUV is expected to enter our market this summer.

Own Exeed brand officially announced the new crossover for Russia in March, and now the local division of the company has announced that the tests of our version have been completed. In addition, the first branded photos of an SUV destined for the Russian Federation have been published. Recall that in the homeland the cross is called Yaoguang, where it started at the beginning of this year. The export version received a different name — Exeed RX.

The Russian office of the brand notes that during the tests, special attention was paid to the settings of the new suspension with adjustable damper stiffness, as well as the operation of the crossover in difficult winter conditions.

Judging by the pictures, our Exeed RX looks no different from the model presented on the home market. Design features — a coupe-like silhouette, narrow head optics with “fangs” of running lights, retractable door handles and taillights made in the form of a single die. The length of the version for China is 4781 mm, width — 1920 mm, height — 1671 mm, wheelbase — 2815 mm.

The interior of the Russian Exeed RX has not yet been shown, however, inside it will most likely also repeat the Exeed Yaoguang. In the cabin of the latter, a scoreboard is installed, that is, a combined virtual tidy and a touchscreen of a multimedia system (multimedia — with Qualcomm Snapdragon 8155, 5G support and an over-the-air update function). There is no traditional gear lever, as well as washers: the steering column lever is responsible for shifting gears. Seat settings were moved to the door. In China, the front passenger seat may have a retractable footrest, and the top version has an additional reclining footrest instead of the glove compartment.

At home, the crossover is currently available with a 2.0 TGDI petrol turbo engine with 261 hp, but in Russia the engine is expected to produce 249 hp. The engine is mated to a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission. In China, the model is offered with front or all-wheel drive, while in the Russian Federation, the Exeed RX will be all-wheel drive by default.

Soon Exeed will tell you about the bundles of the Russian version, and will also announce the exact date of the start of sales. Earlier it was reported that the new crossover will enter our market in the summer.

Meanwhile, the Chery sub-brand is preparing several more premieres for the Russian Federation, among them are the electric sedan and SUV of the new Exlantix series.
