A full presentation of the compact SUV is scheduled for June. The model is addressed to poor markets.
Honda distributed a design sketch of its new crossover at the beginning of the year. Now a teaser has been published, in addition, the brand has announced a name: the model was called Elevate. Recall that the debut market for a small “five-door” will be India, where they will also launch production. At the same time, as expected, the crossover will be delivered to other developing countries: Indian specialized media write that the production plan is 8,000 SUVs per month, with most of it intended for export.
The new picture does not reveal the appearance of the upcoming Honda Elevate, but test samples have already been caught in India, but if you add that very first sketch to the spy photos, you can still get a general idea of the design. So, the cross will have a rather massive front end and narrow headlights with integrated diode strips of running lights. A separate large multimedia system tablet will be installed inside.

Previously, the Indians wrote that the cheap Honda Amaze sedan would be the closest relative of the Elevate, but now they believe that the new SUV will be related to another passenger car of the brand — the City of the current generation. The length of the cross will allegedly be 4.2-4.3 meters, the size of the wheelbase is not given. The dimensions of the local Honda City sedan: length — 4574 or 4583 mm (depending on the version), distance between the axles — 2600 mm. .jpg» />Honda Elevate design sketch
The SUV is tipped to have a four-cylinder naturally aspirated petrol 1.5 from City, on the latest model the engine produces 121 hp. and 145 Nm, «four-door» is available with «mechanics» or CVT. Elevate will definitely not have a diesel engine, but later the cross can get a hybrid installation from a related sedan (it also includes a one and a half liter engine). The drive is probably only front-wheel drive, because all-wheel drive crossovers are not in demand in India.
According to Honda, the world premiere of Elevate will take place this summer. At the same time, the Indian media call a specific date — June 6. The crossover will compete with the Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos and Suzuki Grand Vitara in the form of an SUV.
