A couple of new sections of the M-4 Don toll road will be opened next month — we are talking about the bypass of Aksai and Dalniy western bypass of Krasnodar.
The head of the Avtodor state company, Vyacheslav Petushenko, during a meeting with the head of the government of the Russian Federation, Mikhail Mishustin, spoke about new toll highways that will be opened to traffic in the near future. The list of those that will be put into operation in the near future includes two new sections of the M-4 Don highway, which runs from the capital towards the Black Sea resorts.
The first new section of the route will be the eastern bypass of Rostov-on-Don — this is a 35-kilometer section without traffic lights and direct crossings, bypassing the city of Aksai. The second will be the Far Western Bypass of Krasnodar (DZOK) with a length of 51 km, it is designed to bring transit transport outside the capital of the Kuban. According to Vyacheslav Petushenko, both new sections are planned to be opened for traffic in less than a month — on June 10. New bypasses of the cities will be paid, the tariffs in the state company will be indicated later.
In the near future, Avtodor is also going to open new sections of the M-12 Vostok toll highway. So far, three sections of the road are available for traffic, they are located in the Moscow and Vladimir regions. According to the head of the state company, on September 9, it is planned to open several more sites. This will allow driving by car without stops and traffic lights from Moscow to Arzamas. Already at the end of December, through traffic will be established to the village of Shali, which is located 35 km from Kazan. According to calculations, the travel time from Moscow to Kazan will be halved — from 13 to 6.5 hours.
Vyacheslav Petushenko noted that during the construction of the M-12, gas stations were included in the road project in advance (so that the new route would not repeat the fate of the M-11 Neva with its lack of infrastructure). Now, two multifunctional zones are already operating on the Moscow region section of the Vostok highway, 14 more such zones will appear along the M-12 by the end of this year, and 16 more in 2024.
According to Kommersant, the list of promising projects includes: the reconstruction of sections of the M-1 (from 66 to 84 km) and M-3 (from 65 to 124 km) highways, as well as the construction of the Orekhovo-Zuevo bypass in the Moscow region, the so-called Pulkovo Interchanges on M-11 and Ring Road-2 in St. Petersburg. The head of Avtodor also mentioned a couple of projects, the discussion of which has been going on for several years — the Meridian toll highway with a length of 1.4 thousand km, which should run from the border with Kazakhstan to Belarus; as well as the South-Western Chord highway with a length of 1.15 thousand km, which, according to the plan, will connect Yekaterinburg, Samara and Krasnodar). It is assumed that Chinese companies may appear on the list of investors.
It is worth noting that the state-owned company currently has and other projects. Thus, the M-12 highway is planned to be extended from Kazan to Yekaterinburg, and construction continues, and the completion of the facility is scheduled for 2024. Another project is the construction of a bypass of Tver, which will be part of the M-11 (it will be partially opened this year). Also on the list is a project for a route from Dzhugba to Sochi, which will include a bypass of Adler (while it is at the stage of engineering and survey work).
