The American brand is preparing another crossover that should still make it to the conveyor. The prototype has already been shown to dealers.
The Chrysler brand is part of the auto giant Stellantis, which appeared in early 2021 as a result of the merger of PSA and FCA (the previous names of the parties are no longer used). It is worth noting that sales of Chrysler cars in the States have been declining over the past few years: now the main task of the company is to increase performance, and for this it is necessary to expand the model line.

It was assumed that an SUV with the name Airflow would reach the series: it was shown in different versions of concepts at the CES consumer electronics exhibition. So, the original show car debuted in January 2020, and the company declassified the prototype close to the “live” version a couple of years later. the company has applied for a trademark). The name Airflow was previously used for the brand's four- and two-door cars, which were produced between 1934 and 1937; in total, less than 30 thousand copies were released during the specified time.
As it turns out, the Airflow name will have to wait in the wings. According to Motor Trend, citing Chrysler representatives, Christine Faywell, CEO of the brand, decided to abandon plans to produce a serial crossover based on this concept. She felt the brand needed a new product built from the ground up that would be different from anything Chrysler fans had seen before.

According to Christine Faywell, the novelty being developed will be a more technologically advanced vehicle compared to the Airflow concept. It is known that Chrysler does not plan to present the new concept to the general public until 2024. However, the prototype of the future model has already been shown to brand dealers. The company noted that most of the reviews were positive. platform STLA Large.
