General Motors Corporation unveiled the top ZR2 Bison version of the third-generation Chevrolet Colorado mid-size pickup truck, developed together with the world's well-known off-road tuning by American Expedition Vehicles (AEV). Compared to the standard version of the ZR2, the pickup's flotation and shock load capability have been markedly improved.
The third generation Chevrolet Colorado debuted last summer, it already has three sport-off-road versions, differing from each other in the degree of steepness — Z71, Trail Boss and ZR2, and today the most hardcore version of the ZR2 Bison is presented, addressed to lovers of fast off-road driving.< /p>
If the Colorado ZR2 already has Multimatic DSSV energy-intensive shock absorbers in the base, then in the ZR2 Bison they are supplemented by massive Multimatic hydraulic fenders that can absorb a lot of impact energy at the moment the pickup lands after jumping from a dune or other natural springboard. The diameter of the “toothy” Goodyear Wrangler Territory MT tires has been increased from 33 to 35 inches, due to which the spare tire no longer fits under the rear overhang and has been moved inside the body to a special mount. The 17″ AEV wheels are beadlock friendly.

AEV has also given the Colorado ZR2 Bison new compact steel bumpers (the front can be fitted with a winch), new wheel arch extensions and a five-sheet steel skid plate. Ground clearance as a result of the upgrade increased from 272 to 310 mm, curb weight increased by 147 kg to 2388 kg, load capacity decreased from 581 to 476 kg.

In the control electronics, a launch control mode has appeared, which allows you to start “with two pedals” as efficiently as possible on any type of surface. The standard interior is complemented by all-weather floor mats and AEV logos.
