Shelby American is celebrating the centenary of its founder, legendary designer, racing driver and entrepreneur Carroll Shelby. Many festive events are planned and, of course, there will be anniversary models: the most powerful pickup truck in the history of Shelby, the F-150 Centennial Edition, was presented recently.
Tuning pickups in Shelby American are divided into two areas – road (Super Snake line) and off-road, the F-150 Centennial Edition anniversary pickup truck belongs to the off-road line and is one of the alternatives to the stock Ford F-150 Raptor R, which, recall, is equipped with a 5.2-liter Predator supercharged V8 with a capacity of 710 hp. s.

Shelby American uses a simpler 5.0-liter V8 Coyote in its pickups and manages to squeeze a double portion of “horses” out of it. The Centennial Edition is based on the stock Ford F-150 Lariat SuperCrew all-wheel drive pickup truck, which uses a naturally aspirated V8 Coyote to produce just 405 hp. Shelby puts on it a supercharger with an intercooler, a new intake manifold with a carbon fiber air intake and a low-resistance filter, a new Borla exhaust system and new high-performance fuel injectors. As a result, power increases to 811 hp. is currently the most powerful pickup in Shelby's history.

The chassis has been upgraded just as seriously: increased ground clearance, power-hungry Fox shock absorbers with external reservoirs, new suspension arms, more powerful brakes from Shelby and 22-inch wheels on 35-inch BFGoodrich All-Terrain T/A KO2 “toothy” tires.< br />
