Crossover Changan Uni-T for Russia: official details

A new SUV for our market will be offered with a non-alternative 1.5 turbo engine. All-wheel drive of the model is not allowed.

The Changan Uni-T crossover is already present in the Russian Federation, but we are talking about cars imported under the parallel import scheme. But the fact that the brand decided to officially sell the model in our country, Kolesa.ru reported in May. Now the local office of Changan has announced the SUV itself, sharing some details about the Russian version along the way.

Recall that Uni-T has been in service since 2020, it became the first-born of the Uni line: in addition to the Tash, it also includes the Uni-V liftback and the Uni-K crossover, the last two models are already presented in Russia. In China, the SUV has just undergone restyling, but, judging by the description, a pre-reform “five-door” has reached us. By the way, the Russian division of the brand names the cross-coupe model.The length of our «teshki» is 4515 mm, width — 1870 mm, height — 1565 mm, wheelbase — 2710 mm. That is, in terms of its dimensions, the Uni-T is comparable to the Chery Tiggo 7 Pro, although the concept of the Changan model is closer to the more compact crossover Omoda C5 (Omoda is Chery's sub-brand): both SUVs have a spectacular appearance and are mainly addressed to a youth audience.

The exterior design features of Changan Uni-T are a frameless grille, two-story head optics (running lights are located on top), retractable door handles and a forked spoiler. Russian crossover promised 20-inch wheels. Inside there is a curved scoreboard, «sports» seats and an unusual box joystick. In Russia, for the model, “the widest range of intelligent security systems and control assistants” is declared, but what exactly is included in the list has not yet been disclosed. At home, the five-door arsenal, in particular, includes adaptive cruise control, auto-braking and lane keeping systems.

1/3 2/3 3/3 will be available with a 1.5 petrol «turbo four» with a capacity of 180 hp. (in China, the motor is more powerful — 188 hp), which is combined with a seven-speed robotic box with two «wet» clutches. The model does not have all-wheel drive — only front.

Acceptance of applications for Uni-T will open until end of June, at the same time prices and configurations will be announced. It should be noted that in the range of the brand «Teshka» is one step below the Uni-K crossover, the latter in the Russian Federation at the price list today costs from 3,479,900 rubles (excluding shares).

Meanwhile, completely Changan recently introduced other new products in Russia — Alsvin and Eado Plus sedans.
