Bayern are eyeing Kyle Walker as a replacement for Benjamin Pavard

Kyle Walker may have played his last game for Manchester City. Thomas Tuchel's premier league targets Bayern Munich this summer.

The Manchester City right-back has been flagged as a potential player at the Allianz Arena in the window if Benjamin Pavard leaves the Bundesliga champions.< /p

Tuchel, the former Chelsea manager, has also been eyeing West Ham's Declan Rice, but Arsenal are chasing the England midfielder. He also has an interest in Harry Kane, whose future at Tottenham next year is unclear as he has one season left on his contract.

Walker will find this deal the easiest to fulfill given City refuse to stand in the way of players when they want a new challenge.

Earlier this season, Pep Guardiola questioned Walker's long-term future at City when he said the former Tottenham full-back could not play as a defensive midfielder in his new 3-2-4 system- 1.

Walker then reclaimed his place in the starting line-up after a stint on the bench by winning the Champions League and then being named as a substitute in the final when City won the treble.

He has a year left on his contract, with no sign of renewal. Milan were among the teams that showed early interest in him when it looked like he might be available this summer.

City full-back Joao Cancelo was loaned to Bayern in the January window. although he is expected to return to the Etihad stadium rather than stay there permanently. Rico Lewis has emerged as an option for Guardiola in his system: England Under-21s play at right-back but also move to center midfield mid-match.

Walker rested ahead of the European qualifier against Malta on Friday but is in contention to play against North Macedonia on Monday.
