Avito Auto experts analyzed the statistics on the demand and supply of cars from China on the platform in January-June 2023. According to the platform, consumer interest in used cars from Chinese manufacturers increased by 33.3% compared to the same period last year. Demand for new cars from China increased by 209.5% year-on-year.
The share of Chinese models in the structure of supply of new cars on the platform quadrupled year on year, reaching 46.8% in January-June 2023. For comparison, a year earlier, the figure was 11.6%.
In the first half of 2023, the average price of new Chinese cars was 2,890,000 rubles. According to Avito Auto, the most demanded brands in this category are (in descending order of the share of demand): Haval, Chery, Geely, OMODA, Changan.
The share of models from Chinese manufacturers in the structure of used cars on Avito Auto in the first half of 2023 was 2.9% (in January-June 2022 — 2%).

According to Avito Auto, the Haval Jolion with an average price of 2,349,000 rubles became the most demanded model from China in the new car market in the first half of 2023. The model accounted for 11.1% of the total demand for new cars from Chinese manufacturers on the platform.
OMODA C5 is in second place with a demand share of 10.5% and an average price of 2,700,000 rubles.
The third place in the ranking is occupied by Geely Coolray with an average price of 2,470,000 rubles. The model accounted for 5.9% of the total demand for new cars from Chinese manufacturers at Avito Auto.
The fourth position is occupied by Chery Tiggo 7 Pro with a demand share of 5.3% (average price is 2,710,000 rubles), and the fifth is Chery Tiggo 4 Pro with a demand share of 4.6% (average price is 2,330,000 rubles).

The rating of the most popular Chinese models in the used car market in January-June 2023, according to Avito Auto, was headed by Chery Tiggo (T11) with an average price of 380,000 rubles and a demand share of 8.7%.
The second position is LIFAN Solano with an average price of 280,000 rubles. The model accounted for 6.6% of the total demand for used cars from Chinese manufacturers on the platform.
The third place is occupied by Geely Emgrand EC7 with a demand share of 4.8% and an average price of 365,000 rubles.
