As SPEEDME.RU journalists write, Audi has decided to improve the Q8 crossover and the SQ8 cross-coupe. Both models move into the 2024 model year with a number of upgrades, including new colors in the palette, updated rims and some cosmetic changes inside. In addition, both crossovers received a grille with a new pattern, which is composed of octagonal elements, and a pair of massive air intakes in the front bumper. And the equipment list includes matrix headlights with laser high beams.
The Q8 and SQ8 have new personalization options — in particular, in the menu of the media system, you can select one of the four «light signatures»; matrix headlights. The function works exclusively with the optional HD Matrix LED optics, equipped with 24 intelligently controlled LEDs and a high beam laser module. Also offering OLED lights for the first time for the Q8 — also for an additional fee. They have a built-in proximity sensor and glow more brightly when another vehicle approaches closer than two meters.
In Europe, the 2024 Audi Q8 will be offered in 55 TFSI variations with 3.0 -liter petrol engine and 45 TDI with a diesel engine of the same volume. SQ8, in turn, is equipped with a 4.0-liter «eight» with the function of deactivating half of the cylinders. Like the standard Q8, the SQ8 will be offered with quattro permanent all-wheel drive and an eight-speed Tiptronic transmission.
Both will be available to order in Europe later this month, priced at £86 for a 45 TDI 700 euros (9 million rubles at the current exchange rate), 50 TDI — at 89,700 euros (9.38 million rubles), 55 TFSI — at 89,900 euros (9.4 million rubles), and SQ8 — at 119,500 euros (12.5 million rubles). In the Russian Federation, the updated Q8 and SQ8 may have arrived thanks to parallel imports.
