This list of 25 award candidates includes 10 passenger cars, 10 large crossovers and five pickup trucks. The list initially included 52 cars, selected based on certain criteria, and the finalists were announced at the Detroit Auto Show. Through November of this year in Los Angeles, the list will be whittled down to three finalists in each of these categories. According to the current list, eight electric vehicles have already taken strong positions, according to the material of the Central News Service.

- Toyota Crown
- Toyota GR Corolla

- Chevrolet Colorado
- Chevrolet Silverado EV
- Ford Ranger
- Ford Super Duty
- GMC Canyon
Crossovers:
- Chevrolet Blazer EV
- Chevrolet Equinox EV
- Dodge Hornet
- Genesis Electrified GV70

The finalists will be judged by a jury of 50 experts. Organization “NACTOY” notes that with their diverse preferences, viewpoints and evaluation criteria, these experts join forces to create an objective and unbiased assessment in the world of cars. Jurors will have the opportunity to test drive all of the vehicles on the list in Michigan later this year. The final winners will be announced on January 4, 2024 in Detroit.
