Russian brand Evolute will soon begin production of the i-Van minivan

Like the rest of the Evolutes, the electric van was “borrowed” from the range of the Dongfeng concern. For our model, one configuration has been announced so far.

The electric car brand Evolute was created by Motorinvest last year, “green” models are assembled at a plant in the Lipetsk region. Now the range includes the i-Pro sedan, i-Joy and i-Sky crossovers: the donors for them are cars from the wide portfolio of the Chinese concern Dongfeng. And now another Evolute, the i-Van minivan, has been announced to enter the market soon; it will also be “registered” at a Russian enterprise. By the way, the electric MPV was revealed by dealers back in 2022, but official details appeared only now.

Evolute i-Van is also Dongfeng, in its homeland the model is today sold under the Forthing brand (this brand is also represented in the Russian Federation), where it is called Lingzhi M5EV. Note that the standard Chinese MPV traces its ancestry to the Mitsubishi Space Gear from the 90s.

The length of the electric van is 5135 mm, width – 1720 mm, height – 1990 mm, wheelbase – 3000 mm. The new Evolute has an independent front suspension on double wishbones, a dependent leaf spring suspension and drum brakes at the rear. The model has a seven-seater interior with separate seats in the second row.

The electric motor is installed on the rear axle and produces 122 hp. and 300 Nm. The Evolute i-Van is equipped with a lithium iron phosphate battery with a capacity of 67.5 kWh and a rated range of 400 km. Standard charging (up to 100%) will take 15 hours; in fast charging mode, you can “refuel” the car from 30% to 80% in 37 minutes.

There is only one package so far, and it is quite modest. The Evolute i-Van's arsenal includes: halogen headlights and LED running lights, 16-inch wheels, rear parking sensors, stabilization system, steering wheel height adjustment, air conditioning, driver airbag, multimedia system with a 10-inch screen, rear view camera.< br />

There is no exact date for the start of sales yet, the price has not been announced either.

Meanwhile, Evolute is preparing to introduce another new product to the Russian market – the i-Jet crossover.
