A car dealer explained why in Russia you shouldn’t wait for cars cheaper than 1 million rubles

Dealer holding “Avtodom” informs that it is almost impossible to expect new foreign cars to appear on the Russian market at a price not exceeding 1 million rubles. This is due to the regular increase in the cost of cars due to increased production costs, increased costs of components, limited access to electronic components and fluctuations in the ruble exchange rate. Also, on the capital market of used cars with a service life of up to three years, it is almost impossible to find foreign cars whose price is less than 1 million rubles.

According to data for August 2023, the average price of a new car is ;on the Russian market amounted to 3.9 million rubles, while used cars, whose age does not exceed 15 years, are valued at 2 million rubles.
