< p>The Russian car market, including in the commercial vehicle segment, has undergone significant changes in recent years. In particular, the products of various “celestial” brands have become more in demand, including trucks from the Beiben brand. Heavy trucks have been presented on the Russian market since 2005, and in the near future the brand intends to significantly expand the local line.
Founded in 1988, Beiben Truck (officially Baotou Beiben Heavy-Duty Truck Co) is part of China North Industries Corporation (Norinco), headquartered in Baotou, China. As part of an agreement with the German concern, the manufacturer has the right to use Mercedes-Benz technologies in the production of its trucks.

Beiben Truck currently produces over 30 models of trucks and more than 10 special equipment. At the same time, the production capacity of the enterprise is designed to produce up to 60 thousand copies annually. The products of this Chinese brand are supplied to more than 75 countries around the world.
The official dealer of Beiben trucks in the Central Federal District of the Russian Federation, Avtotrans LLC, recently held an event for customers, during which The Chinese brand's immediate plans for the Russian market were announced. The company expects that sales of Beiben Truck commercial vehicles in the Russian Federation by the end of 2023 will amount to 2 thousand units. According to the plan, next year the dealer will be able to sell about 6-7 thousand trucks.
“In the Russian market there is increased competition among the Chinese manufacturers represented here,” comments Avtotrans Sales Director Viktor Grekov. He believes that the company will be able to achieve its goals by offering a “reliable and high-quality product” and taking into account “providing comprehensive customer service support.”

The current model line of trucks offered by Avtotrans includes two Beiben truck tractors with 4×2 and 6×4 wheel arrangements – we are talking about Beiben 1848 and Beiben 2648, respectively. The company explained that these trucks are equipped with Weichai engines, which come complete with Fast Gear gearboxes, and Beiben axles, developed jointly with Mercedes-Benz. The warranty for all cars is 3 years or a mileage of 400 thousand km.
In the near future, the Russian Beiben line will expand: by the end of this year, the Chinese company is going to certify and launch four new commercial models on the local market . The following are being prepared for sale in the Russian Federation: a truck tractor with a 6×6 wheel arrangement, a mainline tractor (4×2) running on liquefied natural gas, as well as a dump truck (6×6) and a chassis (in 6×6, 6×4 and 8×4 wheel arrangement options) for installing superstructures and manufacturing of manipulator cranes, road construction equipment, concrete mixer trucks, combined road machines.
