Details of the criminal case regarding the special communications of the Ministry of Internal Affairs have been revealed: a strange contract

The amount of 246 million was considered too high

Details of the criminal case became known, in which the head of the special communications center of the Federal State Institution “Main Center for Communications and Information Protection” of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs, Vladislav Slavov, became known. The second person involved in the case is an employee of Astral-M LLC, a company engaged in the development of computer software. A preventive measure has already been chosen for him.

As a MK reporter from the Presnensky court reported, Roman Ermolaev was sent under house arrest, although initially the investigator of the Main Investigative Directorate of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation Moscow asked to take him into custody. An employee of the company is suspected of fraud. We are talking about a tender for the supply of computer equipment to the special communications center of the Ministry of Internal Affairs. The total amount of contracts in 2021-2022 amounted to 246.76 million rubles and, according to auditors, was artificially inflated. According to official data, “Astral-M” has concluded 4 contracts with the State Center for Significance and Protection of the Ministry of Internal Affairs — in particular for the supply of cryptographic protection systems and the provision of rights to use new versions of software.

As for Slavov, his actions are still qualified as abuse of power in the execution of state defense orders. The court granted the request to impose a preventive measure on him in the form of a ban on certain actions.
