In the compartment of the Moscow — Arkhangelsk train, the body of the deputy head of the criminal investigation department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs for the Arkhangelsk region, Colonel Konstantin Panteleev, was found. Baza writes about this.

According to investigators, he committed suicide on the night of November 21, when he was returning from vacation in Moscow. The body was discovered by the train conductor, who entered the compartment and saw the colonel bleeding. Next to him lay a penknife.

The reason for the suicide is still unknown, since Panteleev did not have financial problems, conflicts at work or health problems. No suicide note was found.

Konstantin Panteleev has worked in the Ministry of Internal Affairs since 1996 and most recently headed the department for solving crimes against persons.
