The Mercedes-AMG line does not have a “charged” version of the V-class minivan, but tuners are always ready to fill this gap — for example, German studio Manhart Performance.
Mercedes-Benz V-Class of the current, third generation W 447 has been produced since 2014, last summer the middle-aged model experienced another and quite large-scale restyling, but A pre-restyling model with a 2.2-liter turbodiesel engine fell into the hands of specialists from the Manhart Performance studio from Wuppertal, the owner of which wanted to give the minivan a sportier look and at the same time improve its dynamic qualities.
The Manhart Performance company does not systematically deal with minivans, so it ordered a body kit for the V-Class from colleagues from the TopCar Design studio — we are talking about a fairly fresh set of Inferno parts, made of carbon fiber in the aesthetics of Mercedes-AMG. The kit includes a new hood with two longitudinal ribs, a new front bumper with developed air ducts, a new radiator grille, door sills and wheel arches, a new rear bumper with side “gills”, a diffuser and a “quad-barrel” exhaust.

The look is completed by openwork 20-inch wheels in glossy black, the rear ones having a concave hub. The suspension is lowered by 25 mm using a set of H&R springs, making the heavy V-Class look crouched to the ground and preparing to “jump”. For complete harmony, the only thing missing is large perforated brake discs behind the wheel spokes and multi-piston calipers, especially since there is more power under the hood.

The stock Mercedes-Benz V-Class with a 2.2-liter OM 651 turbodiesel equipped with two turbochargers produces no more than 204 hp. and 480 Nm, and Manhart specialists, using their own Mhtronik control unit, raised the output to 280 hp. and 585 Nm. Unfortunately, it is not reported how the acceleration dynamics have improved; the stock minivan reaches the first “hundred” in 9.0 seconds at best.

The interior of the Manhart V 350 remained practically untouched — even in stock, to its credit, it looks very decent. The total cost of improvements is not indicated in the press release, but any potential customer can find out by contacting Manhart Performance directly.
