MOSCOW, December 5 Exhibition «New Year. The Home Front Brings Victory Closer» about how during the Great Patriotic War, they were preparing to celebrate the main winter holiday and continued to believe in a miracle that would open at the Victory Museum in Moscow on December 13, its press service reported.

The exhibition will feature more than 50 exhibits from the collections of the Victory Museum and the Museum of the History of Chocolate and Cocoa. Visitors will see Christmas tree decorations, New Year's decorations, authentic New Year's packaging of confectionery products from the 1930s-1940s, and themed molds for the confectionery industry of the 20th century.
The exhibition also includes New Year's cards, letters, postcards, and hand-made memorable gifts. In addition, visitors will be able to learn about the stories of confectionery factory workers during wartime. “Authentic awards and documents, as well as photographs and personal belongings will tell about their feat. Among the exhibits there will be examples of signal bombs and flame arresters produced by the factory to protect the capital,” the press service emphasized.
The exhibition will be complemented by an interactive touch panel with a presentation about the work of the factory during the war and a multimedia screen with chronicles from the archives of the Red October factory.
Everyone will be able to visit the exhibition until January 31, 2024 inclusive.
