The transformed five-door is offered with a two-liter turbo engine in combination with a classic automatic, while the pre-reform model still had a 1.5T and a “robot”.
In the certification photographs of the Chinese Ministry of Industry, the updated FAW Bestune B70 liftback appeared in the summer; the manufacturer itself revealed the design of the model in November. Now sales have started in the Middle Kingdom. By the way, the FAW concern positions this “seventy” as the next, fourth generation, although this is still a restyling. Let us remind you that in China, the Bestune B70 debuted as a liftback in 2020, and in previous generations the model was a sedan.
Liftback FAW Bestune B70, it was — now
The exterior was designed in a new corporate style, which has already been tried on by the modernized Bestune T77 and Bestune T99 SUVs, as well as the fresh Bestune T90 crossover and the Bestune M9 minivan. Thus, the liftback received a family radiator grille with horizontal chrome stripes and a new emblem. In addition, the FAW Bestune B70 has lost its Cadillac-style headlights and lights: the five-door now has two-story headlights (running lights are located on top, the main headlight units are located below), and there is a single plate at the rear.

The length of the Bestune B70 has increased by 45 mm to 4855 mm, the remaining dimensions have not changed: width – 1840 mm, height – 1455 mm, wheelbase – 2800 mm. For the liftback, 18- or 19-inch wheels are provided.
The scoreboard is still installed inside, however, the instrument and multimedia system screens are now in a different housing, which is why the front panel had to be slightly redesigned. The separate touch-sensitive climate control unit has been removed, and instead there is a narrow touch-sensitive strip under the air deflectors. The central tunnel was also modified, and a compact transmission selector was added.

Currently, the restyled FAW Bestune B70 is available with one engine — the previous 2.0 petrol turbo-four with a power of 224 hp, which is paired with a classic six-speed automatic transmission from Aisin. The pre-reform liftback is still equipped with a 169-horsepower 1.5 turbo engine combined with a seven-speed robotic gearbox with two clutches. It is possible that the younger engine of the updated five-door will appear later.
The price of the transformed Bestune B70 begins from 129,900 yuan, which is equivalent to approximately 1.66 million rubles at the current exchange rate.
The FAW liftback is also available in Russia, and this is one of the most popular models of the Chinese concern in our country, so that the likelihood of the updated B70 appearing in the Russian Federation is very high.
