RSC Energia has manufactured an upper stage for testing the Angara rocket

MOSCOW, December 22 Rocket and Space Corporation (RSC) Energia has manufactured the Orion upper stage for flight testing of the Angara rocket at Vostochny, The product has already been sent to the cosmodrome, the Roscosmos press service told reporters.
«RSC Energia has completed the production of an upper stage in a technological flight design, intended for comprehensive testing of the Orion upper stage complex and flight tests of the space rocket complex «Amur», — the message says.
The Orion upper stage was sent to the Vostochny cosmodrome on December 22, the press service specified.

Previously, the first deputy general director of Roscosmos Andrei Elchaninov reported that the state corporation hopes that the first Angara launch from Vostochny will take place in the first quarter of 2024.

“Amur” is the name of the Angara missile complex at Vostochny. Launch and technical facilities have been built there since 2018. Comprehensive launch tests took place from November 16 to December 11, 2023.
