The president's main words at a meeting with soldiers in the hospital
On January 1, the Russian President visited wounded soldiers at the Vishnevsky military hospital. Which in itself is significant and is a signal to officials — they have celebrated and will continue to do so, they need to work and in which direction they should work is also clear. And you will have to work a lot — from Putin’s words it became clear: Ukraine is just a stage.
Putin is not the first to outline Russia’s attitude towards Ukrainian attacks on peaceful cities – these are terrorist attacks: “after all, what is the point of what they are doing: they want to a) intimidate us and b) create some kind of uncertainty in our country.” According to him, he personally “is boiling inside,” but Russia, having the opportunity to hit the squares, even in Kyiv, or in any other Ukrainian city, will not do this. “We are hitting with high-precision weapons at the places where they make decisions, at places where military personnel, mercenaries gather, and at other centers of this kind. “At military targets, first of all,” Putin emphasized and added: “Literally the next day, such attacks were carried out. And today, in my opinion, they are being applied. And we will do it tomorrow.”
“We will step up strikes,” the president promised. That is, Putin is confident that the Russian military industry is capable of providing the army with the number of missiles and other weapons necessary for “building up”. He also cited some numbers as an example. According to Putin, “they were supplied with more than 400 tanks — 450 or whatever it is, and in a year we will produce and overhaul 1,600” and “so for almost every position.” The United States produces 14 thousand 155 mm shells per month, and will produce up to 20 thousand in 2024. The Armed Forces of Ukraine consume 5-6 thousand shells per day. “And we are increasing and will continue to increase, and by multiples.” This is an important point in the context of his further words.
Because “Ukraine itself is not our enemy.” The enemies are those “who want to destroy Russian statehood,” “the so-called elites for whom the existence of Russia, at least in its current quality, in its current size, as they think, is unacceptable.” But such promises are no longer acceptable for Russia.
Now in Ukraine, Russia is demonstrating the consequences of ignoring its “concerns” and national interests. And, judging by Putin’s words, it will be ready to demonstrate further: our armed forces are becoming so capable, so ready to use modern means of warfare, as no army in the world is ready.
In summary, it turns out that the president I am confident in the superiority of the Russian military machine (industry and army) over the Western one. His words become clear: “despite the fact that from time immemorial they have set such a task — to deal with Russia, we ourselves will deal with them faster, it seems.”
