MOSCOW, January 6 A local emergency has been introduced in Podolsk due to a prolonged lack of heating in apartment buildings in the north-eastern part of the Klimovsk microdistrict , said the head of the city district, Grigory Artamonov, in his official Telegram channel.
““This decision was made jointly with the emergency situations commission, which included representatives of the regional government, the prosecutor’s office, the city district administration, and the Ministry of Emergency Situations,” he noted.< br />Artamonov added that the state of emergency, which has been in effect since yesterday, will allow the use of additional forces and means to eliminate the problem.
According to the head of the city district, emergency crews worked all night. Due to frost, the system froze and during startup, breaks appeared on the main line and in houses. The specialists are doing everything in their power and eliminating leaks as quickly as possible.
He clarified that the backup boiler that was launched yesterday is operating normally, and is now continuing to repair the second boiler.
Later Artamonov reported that the work of the KSPZ boiler house in Podolsk was stabilized. During the night, emergency services eliminated the discovered breakthroughs, and now specialists are ensuring coolant circulation in the networks and are beginning to connect apartment buildings.
