    Japan earthquake death toll rises to 110

    110 people became victims of earthquakes in Japan

    The earthquake in Japan killed 110 people, 516 were injured, the NFCC reports, citing the Kyodo news agency.

    A series of strong earthquakes were previously reported in Ishikawa Prefecture in northern Japan. According to previously published information, the number of victims was 100 people, the number of victims exceeded 464 people. The largest number of victims was recorded in the cities of Wajima and Suzu. People may still remain under the rubble of collapsed houses.

    The strongest of the earthquakes was with a magnitude of 7.6. Following the earthquakes, a large tsunami warning was issued for some areas on Japan's west coast, but all tsunami warnings have now been lifted. No emergency situations were recorded at the nuclear power plant.

    The number of earthquake victims in Japan exceeded 100 for the first time since 2016, when a devastating earthquake occurred in Kumamoto Prefecture in the southwest of the country, killing 273 people.
