Angelelli Automobili, headquartered in Rome, has announced the Effequaranta supercar, which is a kind of reincarnation of the legendary Ferrari F40. The Angelelli Effequaranta will borrow its technical features from the modern Ferrari SF90 Stradale.
Angelelli Automobili is already familiar to our regular readers through the Hintegrale project, based on the rally legend Lancia Delta S4. This company was founded in 2017 by Italian engineer, designer and entrepreneur Davide Angelelli, who, in his own words, has extensive experience in developing high-tech components for the automotive and aerospace industries.
During its short history, Angelelli Automobili has presented the world with a whole range of exclusive sports and supercars — however, all of them still exist exclusively in the form of renders. The above-mentioned Hintegrale project, announced in 2022, has not yet become serial and it is unknown when it will become. Meanwhile, the latest of the announced new products — Angelelli Effequaranta — should be shipped to customers who ordered it in August of this year. The declared edition of the model will be 25 copies, the price has not yet been announced.

Angelelli Effequaranta is, in fact, the result of deep tuning of the serial hybrid supercar Ferrari SF90 Stradale, it borrows a power plant (petrol V8 and three electric motors) and some chassis parts, and the body is completely new, it is made of composite based on carbon fiber, aluminum and titanium. The body design is said to be inspired by the Ferrari F40, one of the best supercars of the 80s, about which we recently published a large historical material.
Effequaranta very loosely quotes the historical prototype, there are few stylistic elements in common with the F40 (for example, the air ducts at the rear, the shape of the wing and the shape of the exhaust pipes), Davide Angelelli and his team wanted to convey the spirit of the F40 more than the shape. Whether they succeeded or not, let potential clients judge, and it is better to wait for the live premiere. The Effequaranta's interior is structurally the same as the original Ferrari SF90 Stradale, but has a more sculpted finish, a new instrument panel and new buttons on the center tunnel.

The Angelelli Effequaranta will be available in two road versions (Speciale and Sport) and two track versions (XX and XX Racing). Track versions have a more developed aerodynamic tail and additional air ducts on the body; the power of the hybrid power plant is increased from 1000 to 1150 hp. Road versions will reach the first hundred in 2.1 seconds, with a top speed of over 360 km/h. Curb weight — 1300-1350 kg, depending on the modification, which is approximately two centners less than the Ferrari SF90 Stradale.

We would like to add that Ferrari itself is currently developing a new flagship road supercar, which will continue the line of 288 GTO, F40, F50, Enzo and LaFerrari. Well, the Scuderia already has a new track flagship — this is the Ferrari 499P Modificata, made on the basis of a real racing car that won last year at Le Mans.
