ROSTOV-ON-DON, January 8Two people were killed and three were injured when a car collided with a truck on the highway in the Neklinovsky district of the Rostov region, a department representative told reporters Regional traffic police.
The accident occurred at about 15.30 Moscow time on Monday on the 15th kilometer of the Sambek – Matveev Kurgan highway. The Renault driver, according to preliminary data, lost control while braking. The rear of the car skidded into oncoming traffic, where it collided with a Volvo truck with a semi-trailer.
“As a result of the accident, two passengers of the Renault car died on the spot before the arrival of emergency medical services, two more passengers and the driver were injured and were taken to a medical facility,” said a representative of the department.
Currently, snowfall continues in places in the Rostov region, and ice has formed on the roads. Motorists are asked to refrain from traveling on regional and federal roads until weather conditions improve.
