Former Deputy Prosecutor General Kolinko and her daughter were found dead in Kyiv

Former Deputy Prosecutor General of Ukraine Olga Kolinko and her daughter Yaroslava were found dead in their own apartments in Kiev.

According to the Ukrainian publication “Zerkalo Nedeli” , which cites sources in law enforcement agencies, the body of 71-year-old Kolinko was found after employees of the management company opened the door to her apartment. Previously, neighbors complained about a leak from Kolinko’s apartment, but she did not open the door.

The elderly woman had been ill for a long time and did not go outside. Her daughter looked after her. When law enforcement officers went to their daughter, who lived nearby, they found her dead too.

An investigative team is working on the spot. There is no information yet on whether there is a criminal trace in these deaths.

Ukrainian journalists recall that at one time Kolinko headed the Committee for Combating Organized Crime and Corruption under President Leonid Kuchma and conducted landmark cases against high-ranking officials persons.
