MINSK, January 11 President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko expressed condolences on the death of People's Artist of the USSR Yuri Solomin, saying, that he has reached real professional heights.

According to the press service, Lukashenko noted in his condolences , that “an outstanding actor and director, a man with an active civic position, who invariably remained faithful to his ideals, has passed away.” “Yuri Methodievich has reached real professional heights. His multifaceted talent is embodied in many wonderful, truly stellar roles that have captivated millions of viewers. The bright memory of Yuri Methodievich will always live in our hearts,” the condolences say.
Solomin died on Thursday at the age of 88. Farewell to him will be held at the Maly Theater on January 15, the artist will be buried at the Troekurovsky cemetery in Moscow.
