The first official images of the new “green” compact from Wuling have been published. According to preliminary data, the model will be offered with a single electric motor, and it seems there will also be one battery.
Last year, the line of the Chinese brand Wuling (part of a joint venture between General Motors and SAIC) was supplemented by the cute little electric hatch BinGuo (aka Bingo). And today the brand announced that this five-door will have an older brother named BinGuo Plus. The automaker accompanied its announcement with a couple of branded pictures; a full presentation will be held later.

Wuling BinGuo Plus is not a stretched version of a hatch without a prefix, but a completely independent model with an original body and optics, although they tried to keep the design in the same vein. The Chinese write that the length of the Plus is 4090 mm, width – 1720 mm, height – 1575 mm, wheelbase – 2610 mm. For comparison, the dimensions of the Wuling BinGuo are: 3950/1708/1580 mm, the distance between the axles is 2560 mm.
The interior of the Plus has not yet been exposed. Most likely, the larger five-door also received a display, round side air deflectors and washers responsible for climate control.

It is assumed that Wuling BinGuo Plus will be offered with a single 102 hp electric motor installed on the front axle. Models are tipped to have a 50.6 kWh battery, but the range has not yet been revealed. The younger BinGuo in China is today available with an electric motor with a power of 41 or 68 hp, and it has three battery options: with a capacity of 17.3 kWh, 31.9 kWh or 37.9 kWh, the nameplate range is from 203 to 410 km (CLTC cycle).

Plus should go on sale in the first half of this year. Such an electric car will certainly be more expensive than “just” BinGuo (from 59,800 yuan or 739,000 rubles at the current exchange rate), but at the same time it should be much more affordable than competitors like Ora Good Cat (from 129,800 yuan or 1,605,000 rubles; in Russia this Ora 03) or Volkswagen ID.3 (from 163,888 yuan or 2,026,000 rubles).
Note that Wuling BinGuo is also represented outside of China — for example, it is assembled and sold in Indonesia. So BinGuo Plus can also reach other countries.
