MOSCOW, January 17. Activists of the organization “Combat Brotherhood of Buryatia” spoke out against the concert of singer Kristina Orbakaite in Ulan-Ud on their page on VKontakte.
The artist’s performance, scheduled for March 13, is under threat due to her dual citizenship of Russia and the United States.

“People with citizenship of a country that now opposes Russia and starts conflicts, people who live in the United States and go to Russia only to earn money, who have not decided on their position on the SVO, should not continue to give concerts and receive public approval,” — the message says.
Public activists called Orbakaite a “foreign agent” who “has no place in public space.”
According to media reports, Buryatskaya also spoke out against the concert public organization of veterans (pensioners) of war, labor, Armed Forces and law enforcement agencies. They accused the singer of financing the Armed Forces of Ukraine and sent a letter to the regional Ministry of Culture with a request to ban her performance.
The singer has not yet commented on the situation. But on the artist’s website, the “Poster” section is empty.
In 2005, Kristina Orbakaite married businessman Mikhail Zemtsov, who has his own dental business in the USA. Because of this, the singer began to live in two countries and received dual citizenship.
After the start of the SVO, the actress visits her homeland less often. At the beginning of December 2023, Orbakaite came to Russia for the first time in a long time to participate in the “Song of the Year” concert.
