CHELYABINSK, January 17 Investigative authorities have begun checking information about frostbite in a child who stood for a long time at a public transport stop waiting for a bus in the city of Kopeisk, Chelyabinsk region, reported on Wednesday SUSC.
On Wednesday, on the VKontakte social network, on a page dedicated to Kopeysk, information was published that a child after school, having stood at the School No. 9 stop for 45 minutes while waiting for the bus, received 1st degree frostbite on his nose. This was recorded in the trauma department, it is specified on the social network.
“The investigative department of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation for the Chelyabinsk Region is conducting a procedural check based on information from social media about frostbite of a minor as a result of a long wait for a regular bus at a public transport stop in Kopeisk on the grounds of a crime provided for in Part 1 of Article 238 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (performance of work or provision of services, not meeting safety requirements),” the message says.
Based on the results, a legal assessment will be given to the actions or inactions of carriers and persons responsible for organizing the work of urban passenger transport, as specified in the message.
The press center of the regional prosecutor's office added that the supervisory authority of Kopeysk is also conducting an inspection on this fact — checking the implementation of legislation in passenger transportation.
