The large electric SUV is expected to be offered with rear-wheel drive or all-wheel drive. The new product will hit the home market in the first quarter, and later it should reach the Russian Federation.
Last year, Chery's Exeed brand announced the creation of a new line of electrified models: in China this series is called Sterra, and for export markets they came up with the name Exlantix. The first-born was the Sterra ES electric sedan; orders at home began to be accepted in December 2023. And today the brand announced the start of production of the second model – the electric crossover Sterra ET. Photos of the SUV taken at the factory were distributed by the local publication Autohome. Note that Exeed itself has not yet disclosed all the details about the commercial SUV, but the ET has already been certified, so the main characteristics are known.

Both Exeed electric cars are built on the new E0X platform with air suspension and a fully controlled chassis. The length of the crossover is 4955 mm, width – 1975 mm, height – 1698 mm. The wheelbase is the same 3000 mm as the sedan. The cross is equipped with 19-, 20- or 21-inch wheels.
The exterior features of the Exeed Sterra ET are a narrow diode strip of running lights (but the central part can be omitted), mirrors on legs, retractable door handles and rear lights designed in the form of a single die. In addition, like its sister sedan, the ET is equipped with pixel displays: they are located under the headlights and can, for example, duplicate turn signals or display the charge level. It will also be possible to choose a version with lidar.

In the interior of the electric cross there is a two-spoke steering wheel, separate screens for the instrument panel and multimedia system, plus expensive finishing materials. It is curious that, despite its dimensions, the Exeed Sterra ET only comes in five seats.
According to preliminary data, like the sedan, the SUV will be offered in versions with a 400- or 800-volt electrical system. Drive – rear or all-wheel drive. In the first case, the Sterra ET will have an electric motor with a power of up to 313 hp; the output of a crossover with a dual-motor installation can supposedly exceed 500 hp. Chinese specialized media write that ET is equipped with batteries with a capacity of 66 kWh, 82 kWh or 98 kWh.

In China, sales of Sterra ET will start before the end of the first quarter of this year. Meanwhile, Exeed electric cars were previously announced for Russia: first, the Exlantix ES sedan will be brought to us, followed by the Exlantix ET crossover. By the way, previously the export versions were designated as E03 and E0Y, respectively, but now on the brand’s global website these models bear the same indices as in their homeland.
