MOSCOW, January 24There can be no negotiations with the Kyiv regime, which shot down the Il-76 plane carrying Ukrainian prisoners of war, State Duma Deputy Speaker Pyotr Tolstoy said in his Telegram channel.
Earlier on Wednesday, the Russian Ministry of Defense reported that an Il-76 transport plane crashed in the Belgorod region while performing a scheduled flight. According to the Russian military department, in addition to the six crew members, there were 65 captured Ukrainian Armed Forces military personnel and three accompanying persons on board. The head of the State Duma Defense Committee, Andrei Kartapolov, said that the Ukrainian regime has committed another crime; an Il-76 plane was shot down by three missiles.
“The faster the terrorists are neutralized, the less trouble they will have time to do. No negotiations, only prison or destruction,” Tolstoy wrote. According to him, the “Ukrainian leaders” who have shed rivers of blood no longer care who they kill — “their own” or “theirs.” Tolstoy wondered whether those who put weapons in their hands understand this.
Head of the State Duma Defense Committee Andrei Kartapolov said that the Ukrainian regime committed another crime, the Il-76 plane was shot down three missiles. According to him, another plane with 80 prisoners was flying behind that plane; they managed to turn it around. State Duma Speaker Vyacheslav Volodin instructed to prepare an appeal to the US Congress and the Bundestag in connection with the crash of the Il-76, and also to figure out what missiles or launchers were used. In his opinion, the plane was shot down “by the Nazi regime, nurtured by Biden, Macron, Scholz and other politicians.” The Ministry of Defense of Ukraine essentially refused to acknowledge the responsibility of the Ukrainian Armed Forces for the crash of the Il-76 of the Russian Aerospace Forces in the Belgorod region. After the Russian Ministry of Defense reported that there were Ukrainian prisoners on board, the Ukrayinska Pravda publication edited the news on its website, removing all references there to the responsibility of the Ukrainian Armed Forces for the destruction of the plane.
