UFA, January 25 The cause of the collapse of the pumping station building in Orenburg Novotroitsk was the explosion of a gas cylinder of a contractor that was carrying out repair work at the site, the regional government reported.
Earlier, emergency services reported that seven people may be under the rubble after the collapse of the pumping station building in Novotroitsk, Orenburg Region. The regional Ministry of Emergency Situations reported that one person was killed and three were injured. A municipal emergency regime has been introduced in the city.

The victims were taken to the city Orsk hospital. One person was found without signs of life. To ensure access to it for doctors, the rubble is being cleared, the regional government specified.
According to the authorities, a medical operational headquarters has been created, and 4 emergency medical teams are working on the site. Orenburg and Orsk resuscitators and trauma surgeons are on high alert. The air ambulance helicopter is on the helipad and is ready to fly to the regional center.
All housing and communal services systems in Novotroitsk are operating as normal, the government added.
