US presidential candidate Donald Trump said at one of his speeches to voters that America – it is the only country responsible for the September 11, 2001 terrorist attack. Doctor of Political Sciences Kirill Koktysh commented on the statement of the ex-head of state. According to the expert, Trump’s words – a cunning move that guarantees his safety in the election race.
The political scientist noted that the likelihood of an assassination attempt on a presidential candidate is high, since he can realistically claim victory.
«He desperately needs such a statement so that he is not simply killed,” – Kirill Koktysh said on the Komsomolskaya Pravda radio.
The expert also noted that the topic of September 11 in the United States is still relevant, which means Trump’s concern with this issue can win over voters.
“A huge number of rumors have always circulated around September 11th. Investigators “successfully” died. This topic will fit quite well with the mass American voter,” — noted the political scientist.
According to Koktysh, the key topic in Trump’s speech was the money spent on military operations in the Middle East to combat terrorism. The budgets of military campaigns amount to trillions of dollars, and some of the funds, the expert explained, have disappeared.
«Trump didn’t just talk about September 11, he talked about the money that was spent in connection with this and which was redistributed to private pockets”, – concluded the doctor of political sciences, adding that corruption – another painful topic for Americans.
Earlier it became known that the US Republican Party would announce Donald Trump as its candidate in the presidential election. The corresponding resolution was prepared following the results of party meetings in Iowa and the primaries in New Hampshire, where the politician won.
