Russian Space Forces will increase launches of launch vehicles

MOSCOW, January 26 To replenish the satellite constellation of the Space Forces, 18 launch vehicles are planned for this year, said Deputy Minister of Defense of the Russian Federation Alexei Krivoruchko.
This is significantly more than last year: in 2023, seven launches were carried out through the Ministry of Defense and 12 through Roscosmos, for a total of 19.
«The satellite constellation of the Space Forces continues to be intensively replenished. As part of the launch program «In 2023, in the interests of the Russian Ministry of Defense, seven launches of launch vehicles of the Soyuz family were carried out with the launch into orbit of spacecraft of earth mapping, detection and geolocation systems. The plan for the current year is 18 launches of launch vehicles,» Krivoruchko said at the United day of acceptance of military products on Friday.
