In Sochi, rescuers pulled a man and his dog out of a well

In Khosta, a small village near Sochi, an accident occurred with a local resident’s pet. A man found his dog in a well of water near an abandoned house and could not pull it to the surface on his own. The dog tried to stay afloat, and its owner threw boards down to help it get out of the trap. But when the animal began to drown, the man decided to jump into the well to save his dog.

When rescuers arrived, the man was supporting the animal’s head above the water with a net, but he could not go down himself, since the well was too deep unknown, and it was impossible to reach the animal. The dog was pulled out first, then the Emergency Situations Ministry employees, using climbing equipment, helped the owner get out. The man asked to take them to a veterinary clinic, but the animal did not survive, writes the Sochi News Telegram channel.
