The most popular SUV on the Russian market has begun to look more aggressive, in addition, the configuration has been revised. The reform technology was not affected.
The Haval compact crossover on the Lemon platform debuted in 2020: in its native China it was presented as Chulian, and for foreign markets the name Jolion was invented. In China, the model has already been withdrawn from sales, where it was supplanted by the related and comparable in size SUV Chitu. In Russia, the Haval Jolion launched in 2021; for our country, the cross is produced locally — production is established at the company’s Tula plant. At the end of 2023, the five-door became not only the brand’s bestseller in the Russian Federation, but also the most popular foreign car: according to the local Haweil office, 58,229 copies were sold, which is more than three times the result of 2022. Well, if you divide the sales volumes of Lada Niva Legend and Lada Niva Travel, as the Autostat agency did, then Jolyon also topped the list of the most popular SUVs on the Russian market. And now our version has undergone restyling.

Externally, the Russian updated Haval Jolion repeated the Thai Sport modification, which was presented last summer. Our SUV received a similar front bumper and a black radiator grille with vertical wedges; in addition, black plastic trims appeared on the sills and wheel arches. The SUV has added 33 mm in width (now 1874 mm), and the height has increased by 7 mm to 1581 mm. The length and wheelbase are the same — 4472 and 2700 mm, respectively.

The steering column is now adjustable not only in height, but also in reach, and in all versions. For expensive versions, new black and red upholstery is provided (as before, the interior can also be decorated in black or gray, brown “leather” is excluded from the range). The rest of the interior has not changed.

The configurations have also been shaken up. Thus, the basic Haval Jolion Comfort has rear parking sensors and a tire pressure monitoring system. Starting with the Elite variant, telematics services and the My Haval application appear, the latter also received a new function — a heated windshield. The Premium version now also includes ventilation of the driver's seat, electrically adjustable front passenger seat and atmospheric interior lighting. At the same time, the “premium” Jolion lost front parking sensors, a head-up display, adaptive cruise control, a parking assistant and a lane keeping system — all this goodness went to the new top version Tech Plus. The most expensive crossover also acquired a panoramic sunroof (a first for our model). The “middle” version of the Elite Plus has been retired.

The equipment was not touched. The front-wheel drive Haval Jolion is equipped with a 1.5 petrol turbo-four with a power of 143 hp. (210 Nm), the engine is combined with a six-speed manual or seven-speed gearbox with two “wet” clutches, this crossover has a semi-independent rear suspension. Under the hood of the all-wheel drive SUV is a 1.5 turbo engine that produces 150 hp. and 230 Nm, this engine is paired only with 7DCT, the Jolion 4WD has a multi-link rear suspension.
The price of the restyled SUV ranges from 1,999,000 to 2,799,000 rubles, sales will start in February. The pre-reform Haval Jolion is still in service; it costs 1,949,000 — 2,599,000 rubles (excluding a direct discount of 100,000 rubles).
