WASHINGTON, Feb. 5 Three-Grammy-winning rapper Killer Mike was detained at the ceremony site and led away in handcuffs due to a fight. Los Angeles police reported on the social network X.

"On Sunday, February 4, at about 4:00 p.m., an adult man was detained and taken away in handcuffs for fighting. <…> The suspect was identified as 48-year-old Michael Render (the rapper's real name), he was charged with battery, and is currently being released,” the department said.

Grammy Awards, founded by by the US Recording Academy, awarded annually for achievements in various musical genres and directions.

NBC noted that shortly before the incident, during the pre-show of the awards ceremony, the performer was awarded three Grammy statuettes: for best rap performance, best rap song and best rap album.
