The cluster for active recreation and sports will occupy 2.6 thousand square meters. m within the boundaries of the LIFE Varshavskaya residential area, located next to the Varshavskaya metro station. A large sports ground will be available to both project residents and residents of the Moskvorechye-Saburovo district. The author of the concept for landscaping the territory and sports infrastructure is the Basis architectural bureau team.
The sports cluster, located near house 4, building 2 on 1st Kotlyakovsky Lane, includes grounds for playing football and volleyball, basketball, workout zone and pump track.
One field with an area of 512 sq. m is equipped for playing football and volleyball, the second is for basketball matches (599 sq. m.). There is a grandstand for fans between the sites.
Six types of outdoor exercise equipment from the KANGARU PRO company, the official supplier of equipment for the world workout championships, are installed for workout.
The complex of sports facilities along the perimeter is framed by a pump track for skating and stunts on skateboards, rollerblades, scooters, and bicycles. It was installed by Tsekh, a company specializing in equipment for skate parks for urban spaces and residential complexes. The project provides for a running track with a length of more than 1 km, which will connect the sports cluster and the pedestrian boulevard.
The playing fields and running track will be covered with colored hypoallergenic EPDM chips. This advanced material provides additional cushioning to prevent injury. All structures for sports grounds are made of environmentally friendly materials that have certificates of conformity.
Currently, most of the work has been carried out to create fields for ball games, a track and a workout complex. The final stage of installing fencing and laying the surface is planned to be completed in the second quarter of 2024, after which the cluster will be open to all sports fans.
