The number of state public subscribers in 2023 amounted to 50 million

MOSCOW, February 11 The number of unique subscribers of state publics — the official pages of authorities on social networks — last year amounted to 50 million, said Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Chernyshenko at the Day of Public Services as part of international exhibition and forum «Russia».
«Using the module, about 70 million posts were posted on social networks. The number of unique subscribers of state public pages in 2023 amounted to 50 million people,» Chernyshenko said.
At the end of October 2023, Deputy Head of the Ministry of Digital Development of the Russian Federation Oleg Kachanov said that the number of state public pages had grown from 13 thousand to 170 thousand communities. Earlier in December 2022, the head of the Ministry of Digital Development, Maksut Shadayev, said that the main platform for maintaining state public pages was the social network VKontakte, whose monthly audience is about 100 million users.

In November last year, the head of the State Duma Committee on Information Policy, Alexander Khinshtein, stated that government bodies, local governments and organizations subordinate to them should create official pages and pages on the social networks VKontakte and Odnoklassniki. They should log into their account by confirming the code in the incoming SMS.
