DONETSK, February 11 At 21.40 Ukrainian troops fired three cluster shells of 155 mm caliber at Donetsk, reported the republic’s representative office in the Joint Center for Control and Coordination of Issues Related to war crimes of Ukraine (JCCC).
“Shelling was recorded from the direction of the VFU in the direction: 21.40 – the settlement of Galitsynivka – Donetsk (Kuibyshevsky district): three shells with a caliber of 155 millimeters (cassette) were fired,” the representative office said in messages on the Telegram channel.
The representative office also reported that at 20.40 two shells with a caliber of 155 millimeters were fired at the Kuibyshevsky district of Donetsk.
155 mm artillery is used by NATO countries. The United States has supplied Ukraine with long-range howitzers M777 of 155 mm caliber; Ukrainian troops are actively using them to shell the cities of the Donetsk and Lugansk People's Republics. Also, the Ukrainian troops were supplied with German PzH 2000 self-propelled artillery mounts, Polish Krab self-propelled guns and French CAESAR self-propelled guns using shells of this caliber.
