As part of the integration of two banks under a single brand, Otkritie clients can order a VTB payment sticker. It is available for registration both in offices and in Otkrytie Internet banking and VTB Online.
A payment sticker is an analogue of a plastic card, repeating all its functionality. With its help, you can, as before, pay for purchases with your smartphone in one touch and withdraw cash from ATMs that support NFC. Using a payment sticker is safe: it does not have a number, expiration date or CVC code; you can set a PIN code on it, and if lost, quickly block it.
Bank clients can also order an additional payment sticker for loved ones. For children, stickers are available in special designs – with cats, anime and corgi.
For new VTB clients or bank clients who have issued a sticker for loved ones before March 31, 2024, cashback of 25% is available on popular marketplaces and 10% on all other purchases.
“Under the conditions of retail consolidation network of two banks, Otkrytie clients now have access to the entire VTB product line, including the ability to order such a modern and convenient payment instrument as a sticker. Since the launch of payment stickers in October 2023, the bank has issued more than 500 thousand debit and credit stickers to retail customers. By the end of 2024, we plan to issue 1 million stickers,” notes Rostislav Yanykin, head of VTB’s transactional retail business department.
“After foreign payment systems left Russia, stickers became a convenient alternative to contactless payment with smartphones on iOS. We launched stickers with an NFC chip last summer and saw significant demand from users for this payment form factor, so the current offer of VTB Bank (PJSC) fully meets the needs of our clients,” noted the deputy leader of the bank’s “Daily Banking” tribe “ Opening” Alexey Perov.
