PERM, February 26 A three-year-old boy drowned in a pond near Perm, falling into an ice hole dug out for cattle watering, a criminal case has been opened, reports the press service of the regional Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation .
According to the department, a boy born in 2021 drowned in a pond in Perm Chernushka. The child found himself in an ice hole prepared for watering livestock. The boy's body was taken out of the water on the evening of February 22.
“Upon the discovery of the body of a young child in a pond, a criminal case has been initiated on the grounds of a crime under Part 1 of Article 109 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (causing death by negligence),” the message says.

Chernushka is located in the south of the Perm region, more than 30 thousand residents live in the settlement.
