In the home market, the new all-terrain vehicle is available with a proprietary Hi4-T hybrid installation, while in other countries there may be a “traditional” » version. Now the “seven hundredth” is the flagship of the brand, but an even more expensive model is on the way.
The Tank 700 frame SUV made its serial debut in its homeland back in November last year, but it was a limited special version, produced in only 70 copies. Moreover, as the Great Wall concern, which owns the Tank brand, then stated, the entire batch of special “seven hundredths” was sold out in less than a minute. The brand began promoting the standard SUV at the beginning of 2024, and a month ago in China they announced preliminary prices and opened orders. Now the exact price list has been published and “live” sales have started. By the way, that same “exclusive” version is back, but more about it below.

As is the case with other Tank models, the appearance of the “seven hundredth” is made in a deliberately brutal style. The new SUV has a “faceted” body, semicircular diode running lights with luminous “eyebrows” and a swinging tailgate with a spare wheel. The features of the special version are an even more impressive body kit, a hood trim, additional roof lights and a large spoiler.

Tank 700 became the largest model of the brand. The length of the standard SUV is 5090 mm (including the spare wheel), width – 2061 mm, height – 1952 mm. Dimensions of the special “seven hundredth”: 5110/2122/1986 mm. The wheelbase is the same for both modifications – 3000 mm. The new product is equipped with air suspension, with which ground clearance can vary from 255 to 282 mm (the base all-terrain vehicle is 249 mm).

In the cabin there are separate displays for the instrument panel and multimedia system, while at the bottom of the central touchscreen housing there is a row of buttons. Physical keys also appear under the air deflectors, plus the SUV has a customizable round screen – it’s not just a clock, but also a button to start the engine. It is curious that despite its size, the model is strictly five-seater.

The Tank 700 is offered to the Chinese exclusively as an all-wheel drive rechargeable hybrid. The proprietary Hi4-T installation includes a V6 3.0 petrol turbo engine, an electric motor, a nine-speed automatic transmission and a battery with a capacity of 37.1 kWh. Total output – 523 hp. and 800 Nm. On electric power alone, the all-terrain vehicle is capable of traveling 90 km on the WLTC cycle. Note that the Tank 700 was also certified only with V6 3.0 – this option is probably intended for export markets.

The “regular” SUV has two trim levels. The base includes 20-inch wheels, an electric sunroof, leather upholstery, a heated steering wheel, heated and ventilated seats (plus a massage function), a parking assistant (it can be controlled from a smartphone), three-zone climate control, all-round cameras, adaptive cruise control , auto braking, lane keeping and traffic sign recognition systems. The more expensive version also has air suspension, adaptive shock absorbers, two wireless charging pads and an expanded set of electronic assistants. Options include laser headlights, 22-inch wheels and a towing kit (winch and hook). The special version is fully loaded, plus on the ceiling of this “seven hundredth” there is a “starry sky”, that is, a lot of diode dots.

Standard Tank 700 will cost 428,000 – 468,000 yuan, which is equivalent to approximately 5.47 million – 5.98 million rubles at the current exchange rate. The price of the special version has not changed compared to last year – 700,000 yuan (about 8.94 million rubles). At the same time, Chinese media write that the new batch of special SUVs will number 700 units, and that they will be sold all over the world. An additional edition of the special version for the domestic market has not been announced.
At the moment, the “seven hundredth” heads the brand’s line, but soon it will be replaced by an even more expensive and luxurious SUV – Tank 800.
As for Russia, as the head of the local Tank division previously told Kolesa.ru in an interview, we also plan to expand our model range. Specific dates and models have not yet been announced, but the chances of the “seven hundredth” appearing in the Russian Federation are very high.
